Heartwood Collection has a dynamic and entrepreneurial past and is a business which has been lovingly grown over many years into the vibrant and expanding collection of premium pubs and brasseries it is today.
We were founded by…
… Raymond Blanc in 1996 as ‘Le Petit Blanc’ which was later rebranded Brasserie Blanc and new restaurants were opened in cities across the UK
2010 saw us…
… venture into pubs and The White Brasserie Company was formed. The Queen’s Head in Weybridge and The King’s Head in Teddington were the first members of the family
In 2011…
… Brasserie Bar Co is acquired by private equity house, Core Capital and acquired ‘Chez Gerard’. We continued to grow Brasserie Bar Co steadily between 2012 and 2020 with further restaurants and pubs opened across the UK
In 2022…
… Brasserie Bar Co took another exciting direction when we were acquired by private equity house, Alchemy Partners. We opened The Britannia, Parkstone later that year
2023 Brasserie Bar Co…
… becomes Heartwood Collection. We will be growing our pubs business ‘Heartwood Inns’ with the acquisition of freehold ‘pubs with rooms’ for the first time with the aim of growing the business to 61 pubs and restaurants in the UK by 2027
2024…
we welcome our very first overnight guests as our first pub with rooms – The White Horse, Dorking – opens its doors at end Feb. With more pubs and pubs with rooms in the pipeline it will be an exciting year as we bring Heartwood Inns to new local communities and host many more overnight stays. Watch this space!
